All Things Taj

We are busy with designs upon designs and overdue in updating our blog to reflect some of the exciting work that's taking place in our studio these past few months. This super-sized family room (and dining room) is a continuation of a full house customization of a recently completed new 4500 square foot home. We've been experiencing painful delays due to contractors (which requires its own dedicated blog post to vent) but such is the nature of the industry and this too shall pass :)

 Week #2 is here and this week's DESIGN DILEMMAS comes from my hometown of Miami.

When I work with clients virtually - depending on the extent of the request - I put together a design concept board for that particular space. A lot of times virtual clients have a furniture piece they want incorporated, or they may not want to paint the walls, change window treatments, or a whole slew of other exemptions they have that allows the virtual service to be the most convenient and least complex approach to gaining a tailored designer look. 

Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away and a gift for the hostess is always a great idea. Here are some lovely ideas I found on Nordstrom - while looking for a hostess gift myself - and thought it would be a nice to share. Life is busy, order one for quick pick-up asap.

Fourth quarter is probably the busiest season for designers.  Everyone's in the spirit of joy and beautifying everything around them. We've been busy with consultations and enjoying spending time with homeowners discussing their vision and needs for their personal spaces...it's truly an honor to be their trusted partner in this important effort.

 A huge part of our design practice focuses on not only livable luxury but the incorporation of wellness in the home. It's a sense of responsibility that we embody subtly, one we know provides a huge and lasting impact in our clients lives forever. 

It's 2020, guys!  Yep, we are officially in the 20's of our lifetime.  It's kind of a cool thing to sit and think about.  When you think of the "roaring 1920s", so many images immediately come to mind.  The "aesthetic" of the time is so distinguished that we still have themed parties reflecting upon this era.  Will we create and innovate such a historically significant decade ourselves?  I don't know but time certainly will tell.
